On a Saturday in early June 2011, several CCO'ers headed to Cocoa for the beginning of what for all would be the 2011 Hot Rod Power Tour, and though not all could spare a full week, for some who could make the entire trip - becoming 'Long Haulers' was the goal and reward.  What was billed by Hot Rod Magazine promoters as 3000 cars heading from all over the nation to Cocoa's Kickoff and finishing a week later in the home state of the Old American Automotive Industry.. Drivers would be experiencing NASA, Autocrossing Atlanta, Tennessee whiskey, The NCM, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Milford Proving Grounds, Daily Cruise-in Car Shows, Vendor Midways, Celebrity Autograph sessions, Hooter Girls... and lot's of miles in caravan.  When it was over, the stories told were amazing, sounded fun and encouraging to all us who didn't go to make plans now for 2012!
